This article analyzes the recent bombings on Gaza that killed dozens of civilians and forcibly displaced thousands of people.

Following continuous Israeli attacks on Gaza, civilians in the Strip remain with no place to shelter. Refugee camps, hospitals, schools, and other buildings previously indicated as safe zones have been targeted, even though International Humanitarian Law forbids targeting civilians and civilian objects.

Moreover, living conditions in the Gaza Strip are unbearable, due to the lack of essential goods for civilian survival because of blockades, sieges, and the destruction of humanitarian aid convoys intended  for Palestinians.

Sanitary conditions are intolerable, with no access to safe water, sanitary pads for women, and piles of garbage everywhere, leading to an increase in diseases, as confirmed by WHO and UNRWA.

Internal displacement is growing in the area, with eastern Khan Younis and Rafah becoming unsafe for civilians. and 66,700 newly displaced people  adding  to the 85,000 displaced the week before.

A further threat is represented by unexploded weapons, with many victims among children forced to search for food and water over long distances. Civilians, especially children, the elderly, and women, remain the main victims of this war, exposed to extreme suffering due to indiscriminate attacks, starvation, disease spread, and unsafe living conditions.

Since 7 October, 38,000 civilians have been killed. These numbers are sadly predicted to continue growing if no ceasefire is reached and no protection is given to civilians.
