The political crisis escalated in Burundi since April 2015 has caused over 400,000 internally and externally displaced. For the past two years, Mahama camp at the Rwandan border to Tanzania has been home to thousands of Burundian refugees, who rely entirely on humanitarian aid for their daily needs and survival.
